Scouts from Troop 91 participated in a project at The North Carolina Arboretum to make “seed bombs.” These seed bombs will be thrown at a “bomb the bank” event at the Franklin School of Innovation, in order to create a native pollinator meadow on the school campus. ‘Seed bombs” are made from native wildflower seeds and compost, rolled in clay. The scouts made over 50 pounds of ‘seed bombs’, while earning their Fish and Wildlife Merit Badge.
Making “Seed Bombs” is one way Scouts can participate in The Scout Pollinator Garden Challenge to help save our pollinators.
